Where is Itchenor?

Oldfield House is ideally suited to take advantage of practically every holiday or weekend inclination be it country walks in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, anything connected with the beautiful harbour, beaches and sea, motor racing or things cultural or equestrian. There are plenty of pubs and some good restaurants in the area.

Oldfield House is at the heart of Itchenor and within a three minute walk of The Ship Inn and a five minute walk to Itchenor Sailing Club, and a few minutes more to the foreshore of Chichester Harbour. There is an all-tides public boat launching area and Itchenor is the base for the Solar Heritage boat tours around the harbour.

The harbour is well known for its birding habitat where 55,000 birds migrate through or are resident in the waters each year. A public footpath alongside the harbour leads to East Head or walking in the opposite direction the footpath leads to the yacht basins at Birdham and Chichester. There is also access to Salterns Way which is a 16km cycle track from Chichester to West Wittering.
